Margarita Pizza with Drizzle

Margarita Pizza w/ Drizzle (garnished with cilantro)


Many people today are extremely busy and don’t have time to cook. When you get hungry, you just want to eat, I know I do. Using fresh mozzarella is best, but if you don’t have the time, or simply don’t want to, any shredded mozzarella will do. However, it is best to make sure it is low moisture. You may also choose to use a 6 cheese blend (Provolone, Mozzarella, Parmesan, Asiago, Romano, and Fontina) which was also used on the pizza above. I prefer to use naan bread with this recipe, traditionally made in India. You can use what you like. This is a very simple recipe.


Below is a single serving size recipe, you can alter it accordingly:




1 naan or equivalent


5-8 leaves of basil


1 roma tomato (thinly sliced)


½ cup or more of mozzarella


Fine black pepper


Coarse Sea Salt (if desired)






2 teaspoons of Agave Nectar


2 teaspoons of Balsamic Vinegar


Extra virgin olive oil in spout bottle





Preheat convection oven on broil at 400 degrees for 2 minutes. Add all toppings including seasonings. Place in convection oven for 5-7 minutes, until cheese starts to bubble. While cooking mix together the nectar and the balsamic vinegar, and heat in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds. Remove pizza from oven and immediately drizzle it on top, moving hand in a back and forth motion. Then drizzle the pizza with olive oil. Serve immediately with a nice cold one ;-). Muy delicioso.
