Protect yourself from…Noro!

What is the Norovirus and how can you protect or even rid
yourself from it QUICKLY?

Noroviruses are a group of viruses that cause inflammation of the stomach and large intestine lining (gastroenteritis); they are the leading cause of gastroenteritis in the U.S. The norovirus was originally called the Norwalk virus after the town of Norwalk, Ohio, the location of the first confirmed outbreak in 1972.

Noroviruses are sometimes called food poisoning, because they can be transmitted through food that’s been contaminated with the virus. They aren’t always the result of food contamination, though. Noroviruses are also sometimes called the stomach flu, although they aren’t the influenza virus.

Noroviruses thrive on cruise ships (as well as in day-care centers, restaurants, nursing homes, and other close quarters) because they are very hardy and highly contagious. They can survive temperature extremes in water and on surfaces.

Typical symptoms include nausea, vomiting (more often in children), watery diarrhea (more often in adults), and stomach cramps. You may also have: low-grade fever, chills, headache, muscle aches, and fatique. Diarrhea and vomiting can deplete your body of needed fluids, and you may become dehydrated.

So, what is the prognosis? Noro usually isn’t serious, although people may feel very sick and vomit many times a day. Most people get better within 1 or 2 days, and they have no long-term health effects related to their illness. However the disease varies from person to person and norovirus prognosis can be different for someone with a weakened immune system, or in infants and the elderly.

GRAPE-FRUIT-SEED-EXTRACT maybe what you need. Grapefruit seed extract’s powerful antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial properties make it useful in fighting a large range of infections, parasites and viruses. It can be used both internally and externally to treat gastrointestinal and digestive upsets, infections and viruses of any kind, including the flu tooth and gum infections, ear and throat infections, sinusitis, chronic fatigue, parasite infections and much more. My sister who is a researcher told me about this a long time ago. It works, but you may feel the fight going on within your body. It may feel like a rivalry (ex., Duke and Carolina), or a boxing match, with the grapefruit seed extract coming out as the winner. So you may feel even sicker as this short match is taking place, and then start to feel 90% better within hours. It’s best to put about 10 drops in a glass of no more than 8-10oz of water, and chug immediately. Try to take it with you on cruise ships etc., to have handy when needed. I don’t advise you to take it every day. But if someone in close quarters to you have it (ex., family member), you can take it until the individual is no longer contagious.

Remember: You can’t take grapefruit products with certain meds, so check with your doctor or pharmacist before consuming. 😉

~But what you can do with most meds, is eat yogurt. The only exception is with antibiotics. It is recommended to wait 2 hours after taking antibiotics or eat 2 hours before taking it. The yogurt I recommend is the Full fat Greek yogurt “without” sugar! About 1/2 cup alone, 2 times a day for at least a week.
